How to Measure a T-Shirt

If you already own a T-shirt that fits you well, measuring it is one of the easiest ways to choose your size.

1. Measure the Chest

Lay your T-shirt flat on a smooth surface.

Measure straight across the shirt from armpit to armpit.

Double that measurement to estimate the shirt's full chest circumference.

2. Measure the Length

Measure from the highest point of the shoulder near the collar down to the bottom hem.

Compare this measurement with the measurements provided for the product you're interested in.

Between Two Sizes?

If you're between sizes, consider how you prefer your T-shirt to fit.

• Choose the smaller size for a closer, more fitted look.

• Choose the larger size for a roomier or more relaxed fit.

The best choice can also depend on the particular shirt style and material.
